1. Who we are

Alpha Globe Ltd ("Alpha Globe", "we", "us", "our") is a registered supported living care provider based in England. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. Our registered office is 20 Westbrook Crescent, Welling, Kent, DA16 1PU, United Kingdom.

This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our website, make an enquiry, submit a referral, apply for a role with us, or otherwise interact with Alpha Globe. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. This may include:

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, postal address.
  • Enquiry and referral information: details you provide through our contact or referral forms, including information about a person's support needs where you are referring on their behalf.
  • Recruitment information: CVs, application details, and references, if you apply for a role with us.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies).
  • Service-user information: where an individual becomes a person we support, we hold significantly more detailed information (including health and support information) under separate service agreements and safeguarding policies, which are provided directly to service users, their representatives, and referring professionals — this website policy covers our public-facing website and enquiry processes only.

3. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you fill in a form on this website, email or call us, or apply for a job. We also collect limited technical information automatically through cookies when you browse our site (see the Cookies section below).

4. Our lawful basis for processing

PurposeLawful basis (UK GDPR Article 6)
Responding to general enquiriesLegitimate interests — to respond to enquiries about our services
Processing referralsLegitimate interests, and consent where special category data is involved
RecruitmentSteps taken at your request prior to entering a contract; legal obligation for right-to-work checks
Website analytics (where consented)Consent, obtained via our cookie banner
Complying with legal and regulatory obligationsLegal obligation

5. How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries, referrals, and requests for information
  • To assess and progress referrals for our supported living services
  • To process job applications
  • To understand how our website is used, and to improve it (only with analytics consent)
  • To meet our legal, regulatory, and safeguarding obligations

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use website enquiry data for marketing purposes without separate, explicit consent.

6. Special category (sensitive) data

Referral enquiries may involve special category data, such as information about a person's mental health. Where this applies, we process this information under UK GDPR Article 9(2)(h) (health or social care purposes) and/or with explicit consent, and we apply additional safeguards, including restricting access to authorised staff only.

We ask that referrers share only information proportionate to an initial enquiry; full clinical records should be shared through secure, agreed channels once a referral progresses, not through the general website form.

7. Who we share information with

We may share information with:

  • Regulatory bodies, where required by law or regulatory obligation
  • Local authorities, NHS bodies, and other professionals directly involved in a referral, with appropriate consent
  • IT and hosting providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements
  • Professional advisors (e.g. legal or insurance), where necessary

We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

8. How long we keep information

General website enquiries are retained for up to 24 months unless they progress into a referral or service relationship, in which case retention follows our care records retention schedule (typically in line with statutory guidance for adult social care records). Recruitment information for unsuccessful applicants is retained for up to 12 months. We review retention periods regularly and delete information that is no longer needed.

9. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to function correctly and, with your consent, to understand how the site is used. You can manage your preferences at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in our website footer.

11. How we keep information secure

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, staff confidentiality agreements, and regular review of our data handling practices.

12. International transfers

Where any of our service providers process data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses approved for UK use.

13. Children's information

Our services and this website are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. Where referrals involve information about a young person approaching adulthood, this is handled under our safeguarding policies with appropriate care.
